Reliance Asset Consulting has been delivering detailed reserve fund studies and depreciation reports in Western Canada since 2000. Our extensive experience carried out by advisors with well over 75 years of combined experience allow us to deliver impactful results that matter, and that can be confidently relied upon.

Building Science Director & owner

Dan Jablonski, CRP, AScT


Senior Planner and, as of 2021 owner of Reliance Asset Consulting - Reserves. Dan has been a part of Reliance since 2005 and has completed hundreds of reserve fund studies and depreciation reports across Alberta and British Columbia. He has backgrounds in accounting, construction, architectural design, building remediation, and electronic design. He holds a diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology and the Certified Reserve Planner designation from the Real Estate Institute of Canada.

Cori Weidman


As Reliance’s Operations Manager and head of Business Development, Cori brings the highest level of expertise, dedication and professionalism. Developing strong relationships is the foundation of everything Cori does, both professionally and personally.

Engineer

Terry Van Staden, P. Eng


Terry is a seasoned Professional Engineer with 15+ years in Land Development, specializing in commercial and multi-family projects. He managed deep utility services, storm water, and grading design, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and coordinating with electrical providers like Enmax and Fortis to ensure optimal electrical servicing, including right-of-way identification and transformer sizing.

Lidka Storm, CRP


Lidka originally joined Reliance as a take-offs consultant using AutoCAD based measurements in 2013. She has been actively involved in the design and construction industry since 2006 and is experienced in architectural and mechanical designs, construction practices, and the Alberta Building Code.

Accounts Manager

Kim Lozinski


Kim is the operations manager with Reliance Asset Consulting and has been a member of the team since 2004. Kim started in an administrative capacity while working on her Business Administration degree at the University of Lethbridge

Electrician

Mel Smith


Mel is a licensed Red Seal electrician with 20 years experience in the commercial electrical field. He has used his 20 years of experience in maintaining commercial buildings and planning out electrical infrastructure. He is also trained in electromagnetic detection and mitigation. He meets the qualifications stipulated in Section 5.10 for Part 9 buildings for Electrical Planning Reports.

Mike Van Den Oever, DAR


Mike has been part of the Reliance team since 2014, completing insurance appraisals since that time. Mike has completed 1000's of insurance appraisals and is applying his construction and appraisal experience to completing reserve fund studies.

Building Inspector

Barry Black


Barry has 30 years of experience in multiple aspects of the construction industry including carpentry, site supervision, warrantee and service, and building envelope consulting. Barry has extensive experience working on residential, multi-family and high-rise construction. He received his building envelope and moisture control technician certification from SAIT in 2007.

Administrative Coordinator

Rolanda Moroz


Rolanda obtained her mortgage broker license and joined Reliance in 2015. Following a brief period working as a Systems Analyst in another sector, she returned to the Reliance team—and the industry she loves—in 2025. Her meticulous attention to detail and exceptional client relations makes her an indispensable asset to our organization.

Michael Koerner, Architect


Michael is an Architect with over 30 years of experience in design, planning, permitting, and construction management, specializing in both commercial and residential projects. He has successfully led a diverse range of construction projects, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating closely with structural, mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical engineers. In addition to his project management expertise, Michael has contributed to hundreds of reserve fund studies and technical assessments, providing valuable insights to support long-term asset planning and building performance evaluation.

Tim Van Staden, RSE, CME


Tim Van Staden is a seasoned facilities and infrastructure leader with over 25 years of progressive experience across healthcare and public service sectors. As a Certified Master Electrician and Journeyman Carpenter, Tim brings a practical, multidisciplinary perspective to reserve planning and asset management. He has successfully led maintenance operations, lifecycle planning, and capital renewal strategies across complex, multi-site healthcare portfolios. His approach is grounded in regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and safety, with a proven ability to align facility operations with long-term strategic and financial objectives.

Kerry Prosch, CTech


Kerry joined Reliance in 2022 following a 32-year career with BC Hydro, including 15 years as an Electrical Technician. She brings extensive experience in plant assessment, standards application, project management, customer relations, and technical training and development. Her background is further supported by formal instructional training and professional accreditation. Credentials and Qualifications include Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIDP), Electrical Technician, BC Hydro (2005–2020), Certified Technician (CTech), ASTTBC (Retired)

Norm Prosch


Norm joined Reliance in 2022, he brings a variety of career experience in Construction, Framing Methods, Electrical Installations, Mechanical Applications and Installations. His background also includes Management and Delivery of Professional Emergency Response Training as Head Trainer - Justice Institute of British Columbia - 2010-2022.

Electrical planning Technician

Craig Storm, AScT


Craig is an Electrical Planner focused on strata Electrical Planning Reports (EPRs) across British Columbia. He brings 15+ years of military Integrated Logistics Support experience such as reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle cost analysis, to clear, defensible electrical assessments and practical upgrade recommendations. Craig holds a BSc in Electronics Engineering Technology and is a member of ASTTBC.

Reserve Fund Planner

William Needham


William Needham is a Reserve Fund Planner with Reliance Asset Consulting, specializing in depreciation reports and building-component lifecycle analysis for strata corporations across British Columbia. He has conducted hundreds of site inspections throughout Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland, applying strong technical knowledge to assess conditions, develop funding models, and produce clear, accurate reserve-fund reports. William brings a background in analytical writing, project coordination, and client communication, and is actively pursuing the Certified Reserve Planner (CRP) designation, supported by extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of residential and commercial properties.

Takeoff Technician

Reece Van Staden


Reece brings a strong foundation in surveying and drafting to his role at Reliance Asset Consulting. After completing his Engineering Design and Drafting diploma at SAIT, he gained hands-on field experience as Survey Party Chief, where he developed a sharp eye for detail and accuracy in measurement.
At Reliance, Reece applies his technical expertise to deliver takeoffs and estimates that support efficient project planning and execution.
